About ATI TEAS

Students applying for admission to Nursing and Allied Health Programs are required to take the ATI TEAS. The Test of Essential Academic Skills, Version Five, ATI TEAS, measures basic academic knowledge in the academic content areas of reading, mathematics, science, English and language usage. The ATI TEAS is a 170 item multiple-choice examination. ATI TEAS is offered in a computer administered format.

Each of the four sections is timed for a total of 209 minutes (3 hours and 29 minutes). No breaks are allowed. Content areas are divided in the following manner:

  • Reading: 64 minutes / 53 questions
  • Math: 54 minutes / 36 questions
  • Science: 63 minutes / 53 questions
  • English and Language: 28 minutes / 28 questions
